The Course Open Space is made up of two large fields that run from the road called The Course to Crouch Croft road. To the north it is bounded by William Barefoot Drive. Separating the two fields is a playground for younger children, another for older children and a caged area for ball games on a hard surface. There is a building in which after school clubs take place for local children run for free by GLL. Both fields have impressive views of central London. Currently more areas of grass are being left to grow for parts of the year to encourage flowers. The Friends group is working with local schools to develop a wildlife area on the perimeter of one of the play areas.
