A Multi-Use Games Pitch created 2009. A new sports Centre is in the process of being built (we will update you when completed). Adjacent to the west, John Billam Sports Ground is a large flat open space with a pavilion built for Selfridge Sports Ground, which was opened in the 1920s by Princess Wiasenski, daughter of Gordon Selfridge. There are mature Salix x sepulcralis chrysocoma Trees along the Woodcock Hill - North side. Blackberries abound on the West Side (Woodcock Dell). A children's playground to the North full disabled access from Woodcock Hill. Astroturf cricket strip with 2 informal cricket clubs that welcome new people. Saturdays and Sundays but also weekdays. Nature walk: Lombardy Poplars Populus nigra 'Italica' Bats in the Hall at John Billam provide interest at night for wildlife groups. Informal runners: A circuit of Tenterden and John Billam combined is approx. 1,800 m. History. The Ordnance Survey Map of 1935 shows the site laid out with playing fields, tennis courts, bowls and 2 pavilions.
