In normal times,The Friends organise two free concerts each year: Music in the Park, the summer band concert, and Carols in the Park in December. Other community events organised by the Friends include Spring walks, Bat walks, and an Easter egg hunt, Historically there has been a wonderful and very popular children's paddling pool. This has now become too aged for renovation and the Friends are working with the Parks Managers (id verde) to advocate for a community water feature in the future.
