Albany Park has recently had its river restored by Enfield Council, who have teamed up with Thames21 to run participation activities on the river, such as river clearing, planting and nature walks. As part of the restoration there are new wetlands which create a more natural environment and attract wildlife. The park also has a small woodland. We have two playgrounds, including an accessible playground to allow wheelchair access. There is also a concrete skatepark, tennis and basketball/football courts and several football pitches. Work on the park is continuing, with an outdoor classroom in the process of being built. There are plans to introduce further seating areas, casual play areas and to extend the wooded area. If you are interested in the park please join the friends group on Facebook. We are working with the Council to continue to make improvements to the park and would be interested in your views. Events at the park will also be advertised on this site, including river walks, restoring the river, tree planting and the launch of the river event in the summer.
The organisation with legal responsibility for Albany Park is Enfield Council.
